Clynda Davis

September 15, 1948 — November 18, 2015

CLYNDA OLSON DAVIS   Clynda Louise was welcomed into this world by her devoted parents, Vernon A and Virginia Bernice Olson on September 15, 1948 in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in a loving home alongside her brother, Gary; attended Kimble High in Dallas; and after graduation, went on to Tarleton State College in Stephenville.   Clynda married Stephen Thomas Davis August 26, 1972, and they grew their family with the additions of Martin Beauregard (Beau) and Stephanie Leigh (Stevie).   “Free-spirited,” “effervescent,” “dreamer,” “flower child,”  – these are all words that have been used to describe this optimistically cheerful woman.  She was the poster child of “not sweating the small stuff, “and “turning lemons into lemonade.”  Clynda was unique in her ability to take GOD at His word. She wholeheartedly believed HE would always take care of her, giving her the freedom to live the “childlike” life which Jesus spoke of in His Sermon on the Mount.   Clynda loved Jesus and the Church He established. Her light burned brightly, as she compassionately served others in ministry. Clynda loved GOD’s Word and was never hesitant to share it. She was an avid reader and enjoyed inspirational music.   Her greatest love on Earth, however, was her family. She had a very close bond with her parents and brother, she believed wholeheartedly that her life’s calling and greatest accomplishment was being the mother of Beau and Stevie, and she absolutely adored her grandchildren.   Clynda recently became ill and courageously fought for her life, with her devoted children continuously by her side. She left this world November 18, 2015 to be with her GOD.   Clynda was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Bernice Olson. She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Vivian Olson of Duncanville; her son and daughter-in-law Beau and Tisha Davis of McKinney; her daughter and son-in-law Stevie and Montoyea Price of Fort Worth; her precious grandchildren Maddi, Parker and Pepper Davis, and Eli and Tatyana Price; her husband of 13 years and dear friend, Steve Davis of Dallas; her nephews and niece Jason, Philip and Amy; great-nephews and nieces; and a host of cousins and surrogate children.   Clynda’s physical presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
