Grady Martin

Grady Leroy Martin departed this life Thursday, July 16, 2015. Service: Family and Friends Tuesday evening 6pm to 8pm at Alpine Funeral Home. Graveside service Wednesday 11am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery located in the Garden of Angels. Survivors: Father Lee Roy Martin, of Haslet TX;  sisters, Clarissa Howard of Watauga;  Melissa Mackie of Cripple Creek CO; brother Richard Martin of Ft. Worth; Rodney King of Ft. Worth; Leejay Martin of Haslet; and many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Grady Cole Martin, mother Loretta Ann King, brother Jerry McCoy Martin, and Amos Dewayne Martin.

Richard Garcia

Richard Cantu Garcia Obituary   January 19, 1935 – July 12, 2015 Richard Cantu Garcia of Fort Worth, TX. passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on July 12, 2015 at the age of 80 after a long struggle trying to heal from post cancer treatments.  Memorial will be held Saturday July 18, 2015 at the El Buen Pastor church; 4800 Merida Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76115. Gathering at 1pm, Service will begin at 2pm. Richard was born on January 19, 1935 in Saspamco, TX, he was the youngest child to the late Tirso and Petra Garcia. He was preceded in death by son Robert Angel Garcia, brother Frank Garcia, sisters Helen Rogers, Mary Hernandez and Susie Castellano.  Richard is survived by sons Richard Garcia Jr., Rey Garcia, Roland Garcia (Tricia Garcia), Ruben Garcia (Christie Garcia), Jeff Cole (Jennifer Cole), daughter Michelle Garcia, last living sibling Sarah Maldonado, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.  He will live forever in the hearts of his family and so many friends.   


Violet Allred

James Hubbard

James Harold Hubbard passed away June 22, 2015, surrounded by his family at the age of 71. James was a native of Fort Worth.  Born to Carl and Minnie Hubard on July 12, 1943.  He was a loving Father, Husband, Grandfather, and Friend.  His favorite activity was to be with his family.  He was a storyteller and loved telling jokes.  He enjoyed two kinds of beverages; scalding hot coffee and ice cold Budweisers.  He was employed by Moritz car dealership.  His favorite music was George Jones and Merle Hagard.  He loved the Texas Rangers as much as he hated the Texas Rangers.  He was preceeded in death by his Parents & Brother Kenneth Hubbard. Charles Garlington

Charles (Mike) Michael Garlington (1943 2015)   Mike Garlington, 71, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A memorial service will be held at the American Legion, 1245 N. Industrial Blvd, Bedford, TX 76021 on Friday, July 3rd at 11 AM. Mike was born to Charles and Ponnie Garlington in Little Rock Arkansas. He grew up in El Dorado Arkansas and graduated from El Dorado High School and the University of Arkansas with a Masters Degree in English. Mike loved his country and served honorably in the U.S. Army from February 1968 to October 1969. Mike had a long career in direct mail marketing from which he retired but his true passion was music. He was a singer as well as a guitar and harmonica player for the bands; The Jokers, T C & the Slicks and Mike & The Misfits from the 1950’s through 2015. His music career took him to New York City, Montreal, Toronto, New Orleans and Hollywood movie studios. While in Vietnam, Mike served with the Command Military Touring Show. The CMTS entertained troops in places where the USO could not go. Mike was an active member of the American Legion Post 379 and served as Adjutant for two terms. He married his soul mate, Gail DeCarli on June 22, 1990. They shared 25 wonderful years together. Mike was a gentleman who loved people. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He lived his life, his way and embraced every moment. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ponnie. He is survived by his wife, Gail; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Loy Lofton; daughters and step-son, Regina Curtis, Jennifer Garlington and Nicholas Mezin; grandchildren, Jordan, Conner, Olivia, Chloe and Ethan (Kash); mother-in-law, Norma DeCarli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and David Lowery; nieces, nephews and countless friends.  


Sherell Boren

Sherell Lee Boren   Sherell Lee Boren (born November 30, 1940), a retired salesperson, went home to be with Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 14, 2015.  He was 74 years old.  A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m.  Address is 7120 W. Cleburne Road  Fort Worth, TX.  76133.  If desired, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Cumberland Presbyterian Church in lieu of sending flowers in his memory. Sherell was born November 30, 1940 to Velma Mae (nee’ Kirkman) and Rex Martell Boren in Pocatello, ID.  He was the oldest of 11 children.  During his adult years, he worked for various companies as a salesperson in the grocery and pharmaceutical industries.  His interests included: automobiles and watching automobile racing, home improvement projects, and vacations to tropical destinations. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play (when they were winning).  He also enjoyed desserts of all kinds. Sherell had a witty sense of humor, a warm personality and never met a stranger.  He could hold a conversation with anyone and make them feel important.  He was always energetic and the type of person who wanted to be occupied.  This often led to him taking on projects around the house and working on cars.  He would always find “creative” ways to “make things work”.  In his retirement years, he enjoyed a quiet existence at home and often enjoyed visiting with those around him. Sherell was preceded in death by both parents, 3 siblings – Janet Boren, Deanna Boren, Derena Boren Survivors: Loving wife of 17 years, Harriett Boren, Siblings  Kent Boren, Janele Ann Boren Clegg, Bruce Boren, DeNiece Boren, Lorilei Boren Bair, Kirk Boren, Rex Reed Boren – ; Children – Greg Boren and wife Shauna, Perry Boren and wife Judy, Brett Boren, and Kelly Boren Goff, and husband Matt.  He also has 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.


Ronald Beesley

Ronald Ray Beesley was born on May 5th, 1969 in Fort Worth, Texas.  He passed away June 2, 2015 in Johnson County.  Ronald is survived by his wife Kristi White, son Ronald Ray BeesleyII, son Xavier, Mother Alice Diane Miller, sister Patricia and brother in law Grady Ford, sister Diana Smith, Sister Teresa and brother in law Aaron Lynch, Aunt Denise & husband Jerry Lockaby, Aunt Patricia Lester, Uncle Donald and wife Carol Beesley, Nephew Justin Ford, Joshua and wife Jamie Ford and niece Stormy Ford and many cousins, extended family and close friends.  Ray was loved by so many friends,family and will forever be missed.

John Knappick

John Earl Knappick, 53, of Haltom City, TX passed away peacefully on April 16, 2015.  John was born on June14, 1962 in Odess, TX to Alvin Edward Knappick and Barbara Ann Gault.   John was preceeded in death by his father, Alvin Edward Knappick; brother, Richard Knappick; siter, Dana Dobbins.  He is survived by loving partner Donna Singleton; daughter Chelsea Ordway of Jamiliton, Tx and grandchildren Austin Perkins, Colton Perkins, and Jasmine Ordway; mother, Barbara Ann Gault; brothers, Alvin Knappick, Bob Knappick, Billy Dobbins, Chuck Klinger, Michael Gault; sisters, Cheryl Boggess and husband Phil of Silisbee, TX; Helen Ard of warren, TX; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other friends.    


John Bowman

  John Edward Bowman   On the morning of May 6, 2015 John passed after a hard battle with cancer while being surrounded by family in Haltom City, TX. John was 54 years old.  John Bowman was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 17, 1960. He was the third child of eight born to Beverly and Eddie Bowman. John was raised in Phoenix, AZ for most of his life. After moving to Merkel, TX in 1990, John surrendered to the Ministry shortly after. John then moved to the Metroplex to begin Seminary and took on his first church, Hilltop Baptist in Weatherford, TX.  After serving as a youth minister for many years in multiple churches, John went on to serve in the healthcare field as a Maintenance Director at Weatherford Health Care.  Two years ago John moved to Haltom City, TX where he was an active member at Birdville Baptist Church.    John is survived by: Wife: Whitney Fagan Bowman of Haltom City, TX. Children: John Bowman of Fort Worth, TX. Allyse Bowman of Salt Lake City, UT. Chase Bowman of Fort Riley, KS. Bobby and Crystal Davis of Keller, TX. Garrett Wright of Azle, TX. Grandchildren: Tyler, Bobby, Cheyenne, Mina and Aaron. Siblings: Tom, Barbara, Amy, Andy, Scott and Robert of Phoenix, AZ. Linda of Montpelier, VA. Three beloved pets: Shiner, Hope and Kiki.
