Sherell Lee Boren

Sherell Lee Boren (born November 30, 1940), a retired salesperson, went home to be with Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 14, 2015.  He was 74 years old.  A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m.  Address is 7120 W. Cleburne Road  Fort Worth, TX.  76133.  If desired, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Cumberland Presbyterian Church in lieu of sending flowers in his memory.

Sherell was born November 30, 1940 to Velma Mae (nee’ Kirkman) and Rex Martell Boren in Pocatello, ID.  He was the oldest of 11 children.  During his adult years, he worked for various companies as a salesperson in the grocery and pharmaceutical industries.  His interests included: automobiles and watching automobile racing, home improvement projects, and vacations to tropical destinations. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play (when they were winning).  He also enjoyed desserts of all kinds.

Sherell had a witty sense of humor, a warm personality and never met a stranger.  He could hold a conversation with anyone and make them feel important.  He was always energetic and the type of person who wanted to be occupied.  This often led to him taking on projects around the house and working on cars.  He would always find “creative” ways to “make things work”.  In his retirement years, he enjoyed a quiet existence at home and often enjoyed visiting with those around him.

Sherell was preceded in death by both parents, 3 siblings – Janet Boren, Deanna Boren, Derena Boren

Survivors: Loving wife of 17 years, Harriett Boren, Siblings  Kent Boren, Janele Ann Boren Clegg, Bruce Boren, DeNiece Boren, Lorilei Boren Bair, Kirk Boren, Rex Reed Boren - ; Children – Greg Boren and wife Shauna, Perry Boren and wife Judy, Brett Boren, and Kelly Boren Goff, and husband Matt.  He also has 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
