Obituary   Taylor Wilson was born on December 28, 1949 in New Orleans, LA. He was the oldest child of the late Soloman Wilson, Jr. and the late Mary Wilson. On June 30, 1979, he married Linda Smith and to this union three sons were born.   He was baptized at a young age at Stronger Hope Baptist Church. As an adult he became a member of Jerusalem COGIC. As a result of Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to Dallas, TX where he served as a greeter at Oasis Community Church.   Taylor was educated in the New Orleans Public School System. He attended Booker T. Washington High School and was a 1969 graduate of St. Augustine High School. In 1970 he was drafted into the army and served in the Vietnam War. He continued to serve until he was honorably discharged in 1976.   Though he held many jobs, his passion for Mardi Gras grew when he worked for Kern Studios pulling the floats that brought joy to his beloved city. He was an avid collector of trains and sports memorabilia.   He is survived by his sons: Jeremy (Angelie) Wilson, Julian Wilson, and Jesse Wilson, all of New Orleans, LA; two siblings: Gloria Braithwaite of New Orleans, LA and Lester V. Wilson, Sr. of Reserve, LA; three grandchildren: Amor Wilson, David Wilson, and Jacob Wilson, all of New Orleans, LA; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
