Velna Ruth "Cookie" Dyer of Paradise, TX will be 11am Saturday January 23, 2016 at Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington, TX.
and 1 pm Friday January 29 at First Baptist Church Huntington TX
Cookie went to be with her Lord in Ft Worth Texas on January 4, 2016 at the age of 70. She was born in Lufkin Texas to Ralph and Doris Hassett on November 28, 1945.
Cookie is survived by her husband of 52 years George Lee Dyer of Paradise, TX, daughter Leean Bozeman and husband Chris of Huntington, TX, grandson Adam Lee Coxwell and wife Courtney of Huntington, TX, sister Bina Melancon and husband Leroy of Lufkin, TX, sister in law Betty Lawson and husband Jerold of Tucson, AZ, niece Belinda Southern, nephew Brian Melancon and families of Lufkin, nephew Nathan Lawson of Phoenix, AZ and Joy Lawson of Tucson AZ and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister and loved by all who knew her. She was proud to be an American and loved supporting our soldiers.
She was a Godly woman who loved the Lord and looked forward to the day when she would meet him face to face. During her last days, The Lord was right there with her, holding her hand each step of the way.
