Connie Bantau

July 20, 1949 — September 22, 2019

Connie Bantau, born in Ypsilanti, MI. July 20th, 1949 passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 22nd, 2019. Connie never met a stranger in her life. Anyone who knew her knows that she was a person who loved deeply and cared sincerely for everyone in her life. She had a way of making you feel welcome from the moment you met her. You were at home when you were with her. You could always depend on Connie. If she made a commitment, you could rest assured that things would be taken care of. Connie was a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and a best friend. She was a caring ear or a voice of sage advice depending on what you needed. She seemed to always know what to say to make you feel better. She had a love for the beautiful things in life and in nature. Her relationships with her people, however, were her most treasured assets. To know Connie was to love her. When Connie loved you, she left her mark on your soul, and you became a better person for having known her. There is a void that cannot be filled now that she is gone. To honor her, I ask that you follow the example that she set for us all. Love your people. Connect with them and let them feel how important they are to you. I’ll never forget her words when she talked about her own death. “When the Lord comes to get me, BYE YA’ll!” Farewell Connie. May we all live as your legacy of love. May we all strive to the be person you believed us all to be. May we honor your life with love and compassion for others as you taught us to. We grieve you for selfish reasons. We miss you and want more of you because it will never be enough. We cheer now though because we know that you are no longer in pain. You will never again know sadness. You loved God and we hope that you are talking his ear off at this very moment. You may now rest. A Memorial Service will be held at American Legion post 655, 2817 Carson St, Fort Worth Tx, 76117 To be held on Thursday September 26th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
