Her life was shared with a large, loving family and wonderful friends. Darlene Joy Searcy Harris was born on August 23, 1947, to parents James and Lucille Searcy in Fort Worth, Texas. She was their only child, but Darlene had 3 older siblings from her mother’s first marriage. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1965. Penney’s, in various office support roles in a few locally-owned small businesses, and finally as a transcriptionist for Radiology Associates. She retired in 2009. Before she became disabled, she loved spending time fishing and camping with her husband in their trailer, traveling, and she was a fan of both the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. However, it was her family that was most near and dear to her heart.
