Gladys Marie Bruton

Gladys Marie Bruton, 75, of Haltom City, TX went home to the Lord on Christmas morning 2021. Gladys was born to Jim and Oneita Featherston in 1946 in Paris, Missouri.
She graduated from Paris High School in 1964, Hannibal LaGrange College in 1966, and Bolivar SW Baptist College in 1968. She worked at Lockheed Martin for 28 years.
Gladys was kind and caring of others and gave selflessly of her time and treasure. A woman of great determination, she raised two children on her own.
Gladys was preceded to Glory by her father James Featherston, her mother Oneita Featherston, her brothers Ralph Featherston, Robert Featherston, and James Allen, her beloved son Waylon Bruton, and one child before birth. She leaves behind her daughter Raquel Walton and husband Tim, her daughter-in-law Mechelle Bruton, her grandchildren Jeffrey Hitri and Katie Walton, and grand-in-law Sabrina Harris, her sister Roberta Henry and husband Robert, and many many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be at Alpine Funeral Home January 7th from 6-8PM located at 2300 N Sylvania Ave, Ft. Worth, TX 76111. Funeral services will be held January 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's United Methodist Church located at 852 Bedford Euless Rd, Hurst, TX 76053. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris, MO, January 11th at 1:00 PM.
