James Dale Kennemer

One-year 2020 InMemory Commemoration for CW2 James Dale Kennemer. The InMemory program VVMF cannot be done in Washington DC due to Covid and will be held in Dallas National Cemetery. Dale was born March 30, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dale completed his mission on this earthly plain, and passed away November 1, at 1:40 AM, in the year of our Lord 2019. Service is at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas TX 75211 

Service starts promptly at Lineup at 3:15pm line 3 and will proceed to section C for the 3:30pm for 1 yr. InMemory Service Memorial will be support by the DFW Honor Guard and North Texas Patriot Riders. On November 6, 2020 with social distancing.

James Dale Kennemer entered into the Army as a SP5 05/02/1969 & was taken to Fort Rucker, AL. On 03/03/1969 was excepted into Warrant Officer Academy 05/18/1970 to Fort Wolters TX. He completed training war officer rotary wing aviator course at 37 weeks. He was ordered to active duty after completion as a CW2 USAR-AV & sent to Vietnam. CW2 Officer James Dale Kennemer Helicopter Pilot ߑȢ ✈️ 69-71. Dale was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran w/bronze star & air medals & w/valor. He was assigned in many units. 100-B, 101st. 92nd ASH, & last station 173rd AHC, his last station after his crash—Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. 

Dale was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran. He flew gunship helicopters in the Vietnam War. Upon his return to the USA, Dale recovered an joined the Army Reserve Transportation Units 72-74 flying under the 244th Company for the 377th Brigade Headquarters, flying as a maintenance unit an active duty service as a reserve pilot.

Dale then change direction to go back to finish his Bachelors in Social Science at TWU and then passed his LSAT scores to gained admissions into SMU law school in Dallas, TX, however, due to PTSD and Agent Orange was slowly shadowing his life, he didn’t pursue the law degree and went into planning family tax firm called Kennemer and Associates. He was ranked top 10 in 1985 as one of the best financial advisors in Texas. Dale filed cases for many clients over the years helping tax clients for professional and small businesses.

Dale continued his life of service; helping others, rescuing many, leading an army of family members through many difficult times. Near the end of his life, Dale met Kathleen Marie Jenkins, they married and enjoyed the last season of his life; fishing, watching old movies, and practicing Tai Chi together. Marie was the constant support and companion through cancer treatments, and in those last weeks in the intensive care unit. She made sure, to the last moment of his life, that he was not alone. Dale loved many things, none more than flying. In his final moments, Dale wished out loud that he could return to the sky and fly one more time. His family is happy to report that Dale has been granted that wish.

He is preceded in death by his father Jimmie Don Kennemer and his mother Irlene Kennemer. Dale is survived by his wife Marie Kennemer, one brother and his spouse, Major William Paul and Kimberly Kennemer, one sister and her spouse Michael and Karen Burchfield. Dale is also survived by five children Carrie, Katrina, David, Sara and Rachel, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family members.
