On the morning of May 6, 2015 John passed after a hard battle with cancer while being surrounded by family in Haltom City, TX. John was 54 years old. 
John Bowman was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 17, 1960. He was the third child of eight born to Beverly and Eddie Bowman. John was raised in Phoenix, AZ for most of his life. After moving to Merkel, TX in 1990, John surrendered to the Ministry shortly after. John then moved to the Metroplex to begin Seminary and took on his first church, Hilltop Baptist in Weatherford, TX.  After serving as a youth minister for many years in multiple churches, John went on to serve in the healthcare field as a Maintenance Director at Weatherford Health Care.  Two years ago John moved to Haltom City, TX where he was an active member at Birdville Baptist Church. 
 
John is survived by: Wife: Whitney Fagan Bowman of Haltom City, TX. Children: John Bowman of Fort Worth, TX. Allyse Bowman of Salt Lake City, UT. Chase Bowman of Fort Riley, KS. Bobby and Crystal Davis of Keller, TX. Garrett Wright of Azle, TX. Grandchildren: Tyler, Bobby, Cheyenne, Mina and Aaron. Siblings: Tom, Barbara, Amy, Andy, Scott and Robert of Phoenix, AZ. Linda of Montpelier, VA. Three beloved pets: Shiner, Hope and Kiki. And many more nieces, nephews and close friends.
 
 
 
Services will be held Saturday May 16, 2015 at 4:30PM at:
