He has four grandchildren, Shyanna Sorenson of Missouri, Devin Hohner
of Kansas, Aurora Schmidt of Texas, and Raina Schmidt of Kansas. He
as well has Three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tymberlynn, Lillyth
(Lilly) Sorenson of Missouri.

Steve was known as a hard working man. He moved to Salina, Kansas as a
child and grew up there. He worked for (Westinghouse) for 10 years
without a day missed, and was known by his co-workers as
smiley-smitty. He later moved to Watauga, Texas working for the family
business,(Industrial Saw & Grinding), that his father originally
started up in Salina, Kansas then moved it to Watauga, Texas. were he
worked until his retirement. While working for Industrial Saw and
Grinding, he had moved his residence to Richland Hills, Texas, where
he lived for several years. Then moved his residence to Weatherford,
Texas to start his retirement years looking at the view from his front
porch that he loved and admired. He was hoping to move to Arkansas to
spend his retirement years, but sadly that was taken from him before
he could make it there.

His kids were the most important priority of his life and would do
anything he could for them. He was the best father anyone could ever
ask for!  Steve was always there for his kids, and others.

Steve was very selfless and simple man! As he said many of times, (As
long as he had a roof over his head, a shit bucket, a source of water
and a solar panel, was all he needed to survive)! He always said he
didn't need any Foo Foo stuff in his life!

Steve was like a dad to everyone, his door was always open to others
ready to give advice or lend an ear or shoulder!  Always had a smile
for everyone with plenty of stories to tell, trying to make everyone
laugh!

He is already missed and will forever be in our hearts forever. He has
such a heart of gold and helped out those in need.  He will be missed
by all!
