Phyllis Ruth Esposito Smith Entered into Life February 18, 1951 Fort Worth, Texas   Entered into Eternal Life September 11, 2021 Stephenville, Texas   A Celebration of Life for Phyllis Esposito Smith will be held at Alpine Funeral Home on October 2, 2021. Phyllis was “The Favorite” child of Phil and Mary (Baker) Esposito, and was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on February 18, 1951. She married Charles Smith on July 11, 1970 and celebrated their 51^st anniversary this past summer. Their family was complete with the arrival of their son, Bobby Joe who was the delight of their lives. She was a life-long Christian, raised in First Presbyterian Church. Prior to retirement, she worked at the Fort Worth Press, was co-owner of Phil’s Southside Texaco in Fort Worth, and was a 34-year employee of Tarrant County. She was a long-time volunteer of Northside Inter-Church Agency and Sixty and Better, both in Fort Worth and a volunteer for the Greater Dallas Veteran’s Day Parade in Dallas. Survivors include her husband Charles (Charlie) of Haltom City, Texas; son, Bobby Smith (Laura); sisters Karen Esposito Plunkett (Wayne) and Francine Esposito Pratt (Michael); brothers-in-law Clyff Curry and Jack Marshall; step-mother Mildred Esposito; nieces and nephews Robin Henderson (Joe), Ginger Murrell (Jonathan), Ryan Plunkett (Jennifer), Michael Pratt, Jr. (Carrie), Jennifer Funderburk (Kendall), Charlie Curry (Tori) and Tammy Bobbitt (Terry); great nieces and nephews Jake, Reid, and Jolie Henderson, Taylor and Tyler Murrell, Jaci Costilla and Kenlee Funderburk, Elizabeth Curry, and numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Phil and Mary Esposito. If inspired, memorials for Phyllis can be sent to Wounded Warriors, Shriner’s Hospitals, or a charity of your preference.
