Barbara Ann Forbes

Barbara Ann Forbes, a devoted wife and mother, passed away peacefully on January 16^th in the comfort of her home.  She was 75.  Barbara was born in Sioux Falls, SD, but lived in Texas for most of her life.  She met her husband Gary in the 9^th grade, while attending Birdville High School.  The two sweethearts married on April 7, 1959.  Throughout their 59-year marriage, they had 3 boys.  Barbara was a hairdresser when she was younger, but quickly found that she had a love for children.  She ran an in-home daycare for many, many years where she touched the lives of many families.  She also volunteered in the church nursery.  She had a knack with the babies and loved being around them.  Barbara is survived by her mother, Betty Berrett of Salt Lake City, UT, husband Gary Forbes of Haltom City, son James Forbes and wife Gina of Haltom City, son Randy Forbes and wife Fran of Fort Worth, son Kelly Forbes of Haltom City, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25^th from 2-4 pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 3200 Denton Highway, Haltom City, Texas 76117.
