Charlie Collier of Colleyville, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24th surrounded by his family. Charlie grew up in Arlington and studied Geology at the University of Texas at Arlington and earned a degree in Emergency Administration Management from the University of North Texas. He loved to cave, dive, travel and ride his Harley. Charlie also loved dogs. He and his wife, Kim, adopted several rescue dogs throughout the years, many with special needs. Charlie’s true passion was firefighting. He dedicated 25 years towards this passion where he was a member of the hazmat team for the Arlington Fire Department. Charlie brought energy and life to every gathering.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Patsy Collier and brother, Neil Collier. He is survived by wife Kim, brother James (Butch) and his wife Sherry, brother Mike and his wife Edie, sister-in-law Elzan and nephews Mike Jr., Thomas, Curtis, Steven, Mickey, Cody and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a private celebration of his life.
