Cherie Lynn Springfield

December 9, 1959 — November 16, 2023

Fort Worth, Texas

Today and always, we honor Cherie Springfield. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Cherie Lynn Springfield, aged 63, of Fort Worth, Texas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 16th, 2023. She passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family.

Who was Cherie Springfield? A retail worker? A mother, a wife? Her loved ones remember her as an investor. She invested in souls and enriched lives as she knew we are more than what we do for a living. She once said, "Don't mourn my passing. Celebrate my life." Her family will honor her wish and find solace in her life well lived.

Raised in Blum, Texas, Cherie was always an avid student and loved to learn. She became a devoted mother to her children, found her path through God, and made it for herself in the world. She met the love of her life, Scott Springfield in 1986, soon wed, and raised their family together with ample love. Her family grew with many grandchildren, cousins, nieces/ nephews, and great grandchildren.

Cherie was a passionate woman who loved to help people, loved writing, and loved God. She has published multiple poetry books. She always put herself last, using all her tools and resources to help anyone who needed it. She sacrificed all she could to care for her family and would encourage, guide, and inspire them to never quit. She taught them how to live, to seek God always, and to treat others as they would want to be treated. She taught them many lessons, such as; It's not what you do for a living that defines you, or who you are. It's what you do when others aren't looking.

She is preceded in death by her father, Don Weldon Duvall; brother, Larry Duvall; mother in law, Darla Murrey; father in law, Travis Springfield; son: Scott Alan Springfield; grandson, Jacoby Springfield; great grandchildren, Poppy, Daniel, and Wyatt; companions, Lady and Axl.

She is survived by her husband Scott Springfield; mother in law, Threasa Springfield; mother, Cora Whitlock; brothers, "Sam" Don Duvall Jr., Hershal Duvall, and Billy Duvall; Sisters in law, Kim Wyatt, Cindy Brothers, and Jan Tunell-Webster; children, Jennifer Crawford and husband Paul Crawford, Raegan Springfield, Misty Glenn, David Lukes and wife Necole Lukes, John Upchurch Jr.; granddaughter, Sarah Nunez, whom she raised, and fiancée Patrick Massingill; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cousins and her loving companion, Elvis.

There will be no funeral for her, but her family asks you to remember her as she lived - as someone who helped all those she met, as a follower of God, and as a person who deeply loved her family.
