Cheryl “Nichole” Summerville Cardenas, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 37. She was born October 5, 1987, in Fort Worth, where she spent her life surrounded by those she loved.
Nichole was a proud graduate of Castleberry High School and continued her education at Tarrant County Community College. Her unwavering strength and resilience were a testament to her indomitable spirit. She faced life’s challenges with grace, never backing down in the face of adversity. With her head held high, she met every obstacle with courage and hope, showing us all that even the toughest moments could be overcome. Her perseverance and determination were an inspiration to those who knew her, reminding us that strength is not just about endurance but about facing each trial with faith and dignity.
She built a career in advertising sales at Varsity Sports Unlimited, where her charisma and warmth made a lasting impact. Beyond her professional life, Nichole was a free spirit who found joy in traveling, making memories with her son and family, and embracing life’s adventures. While she loved being on the go, she also cherished quiet moments at home, where she could unwind and simply be herself.
To those who knew her best, Nichole was more than just a loved one—she was a confidante, a trusted soul who offered unwavering support. Her laughter, kindness, and loyalty will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Cheryl Summerville, and her cherished father figure, Douglas P. Williams Sr.
Left to honor her memory is her greatest joy, her son, Greyson Cardenas; her father Rodney Dale Summerville Sr; her brothers, Ronnie “Eric” Apple of Arnold’s Park, Iowa, Rodney Dale Summerville II and wife, Ashley, of Fort Worth, and Joseph Allen Summerville of Granbury; her sister, Melissa Williams and husband Israel Lopez of Fort Worth; her lifelong best friend, Heather Teter, and her family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of dear friends, and her beloved dog Stormie.
A celebration of Nichole’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Williams and Lucas Memorial Chapel, 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. A reception will follow the service.
Nichole’s love, laughter, and spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
