Dorothy Suhl was a very loving wife to her lifelong sweetheart H. Norman Suhl. He loved her dearly as she bore him 5 children. She was a great mother and pastor’s wife throughout the years of their marriage. She was totally devoted to being a mother and wife, but her joy in life was playing the piano and organ at church for her precious Lord Jesus Christ. She was a very accomplished church pianist and organist for over 75 years. She kept playing the piano praising the Lord right up to several weeks before she went home to be with the Lord. You couldn’t walk into her home without her sitting down at the piano and playing several hymns. She loved having everyone sing as she played the old gospel hymns. Her favorite hymn was “What a Day That Will Be”. Well, it is for her now, in the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She is with the Lord in Heaven now and no longer suffering in pain. Glory! Not to mention the many family and friends that have gone on before her and she is now fellowshipping with them all again. She will be missed greatly by her family and her church family. What a testimony she left behind of one totally in love with her family and her Saviour.
Dorothy is preceded in death by spouse, Henry Norman Suhl, and 3 children, Ricky Suhl, Glenda Cauthen, and Truitt Suhl.
She is survived by daughter, Katrina Staats and spouse Richard Staats, son, Delwyn Suhl, daughter in law, Carrie Suhl Kaighen and her Spouse Dan Kaighen, 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
