Elizabeth Anne Buckner
Elizabeth Anne Krohn “Betsy” Buckner, 56, passed away at her home in Dallas, TX, from bile
duct cancer on February 20, 2018. She was born on September 6, 1961 in Redwood City, CA.
She is survived by her husband Kevin E. Perry and brothers M. David Krohn of Petersburg, VA,
and Jeffrey A. (Peggy) Krohn of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by her nephews Michael
Krohn of Columbia, MO, Joseph Krohn of Vancouver, WA, her nieces Katherine Weaver of
Columbia, MO, Ashley (Jared) Schrafel and Meagan Krohn both of Cedar Rapids, IA, her
grandnephew Austin Krohn and grandniece Lorelei Weaver both of Columbia, MO, and her
grandniece Emmi Schrafel of Cedar Rapids, IA.
She was preceded in death by her brother Michael J. Krohn of Macon, MO, her mother Margaret
A. Krohn and father Mel A. Krohn of Maquoketa, IA, and grandparents William and Clara
Gearhart of Raritan, IL, and Meda and Arthur Krohn of Rock Island, IL.
She was a graduate of Maquoketa High School and Kirkwood Community College in Iowa,
where she obtained her associate’s degree in food marketing. Later in life, she held professional
licenses in Texas as a prosthetist and also as an orthotic technician while employed at Miller
Brace in Dallas, TX.
Her family gives special thanks and gratitude to her very close friends Janet Nevil, Amy Hill,
Faye Begle, Marilyn Fitzner, and Lou DeShaw.
