December 5, 2021, Elizabeth Kay Updegrove passed away peacefully at her home at the young age of 68 after a brief battle with Cancer.
Born July 15, 1953, at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Elizabeth lived all her whole life in Tarrant County Texas. Holding jobs as waitress, building fiberglass hot tubs, building fiberglass custom boats, building custom window, installing custom window and food management. She was a very strong 5-foot ½ inch women.
She was preceded in death by her parents’ mother Marie Hall, father Victor Martinez, brother Eddie Martinez, niece Cecelia Key and niece Lauren Phillips. Elizabeth is survived by her Husband Michael, daughter Sonja Gilchrist and husband Alan, Mansfield TX, son Richard Updegrove, Keller TX, grandson Duncan Gilchrist, grandson Christian Updegrove, grandson Garrett Updegrove, her brother Jerrel Martinez and wife Cindy, Burleson TX, her sister Linda Martin and husband Thomas, Chico TX, Sister Shirley Phillips and husband Larry, Chico TX, sister Frances Bush and husband Robert, Fort Worth TX and a large number of Nieces and Nephews.
Elizabeth was an exceptional wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend and Animal Lover. She had a great love for all animals especially all her dogs. Always putting her family and friends first with all their needs. This family will honor her memory by living their lives to their fullest as she would have.
