Eugenia “Candy” Cantu was born in Killeen, Texas to the late Eugenia (Tovar) Cantu and Alejandro Cantu. She passed away on Saturday morning, December 2, 2023 in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 64.
Candy loved dancing, cooking, and traveling. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and she loved to be with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, numerous siblings and husband, Victor Ramirez.
Candy was survived by her beloved children, Jason Torres of Fort Worth, Ricky Torres of Fort Worth and Gracie Torres and husband, Alonso Hernandez of Angier, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Torres; precious grandchildren, Mark, Ava, Jason Jr., Saniya, Julian, Julisa, Ricky, Jr., Emma, Anthony, Carisa, Nevaeh, and Efren; one great grandchild, Nova; siblings, Mary, Ruth, Esther, Edward and Estella; and her long-time friend, Eugene Torres.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Williams and Lucas Funeral Chapel located at 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
Funeral will also be held at Williams and Lucas Funeral Chapel at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 8, 2023.
Burial and committal service will be held at Skyvue Memorial Gardens in Mansfield at 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 8, 2023.
