It is with sadness but also Great Joy that we announce that Frances Gail Libbey got to have the BEST DAY of her life and do the Happy Dance with her Savior Jesus Christ August 5th 2018. She left her earthly body peacefully in her home after a stubborn but courageous fight with breast cancer.
She was born in 1938 to her parents Gerald Allen George and Lorraine Agnes George in Santa Maria CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and oldest son David Allen Libbey. Survived by her son Brian Libbey, Tamara Libbey Munson and her husband Thomas Greene Munson. Her grandchildren Curtis Allen Libbey and his wife Regina, Leslie Ryann Libbey, Erech Christopher Libbey, Loni Deanna Libbey, and Tessa Leigh Munson. Great grandchildren Nevaeh Brooke Libbey, Hunter Wayne Hill, Iscis Blaire Libbey, and Isabeau Athena Libbey.
She loved her family and the beach. She missed her siblings Patricia Flory, Joe George, Gerry Tissue, and Duane George, and aunts and uncles in California which truly was her REAL home. Frances went back home as often as she could.
Mom worked very hard her whole life, and did her best to keep her children (and then grandchildren) on the right path. She enjoyed being there for all family events. Always tried to be there for family and friends. If she had a bad day you wouldn’t know. She would always put on a smile and try to brighten your day.
Fran really enjoyed sending cards of love, encouragement and blessings to MANY family members, close friends and acquaintances. The post office and Hallmark cards are going to feel a drop in revenue. She also liked to give and receive hugs. She would say “Hugs are good for both people and there free, why keep them?”
A viewing will be held to laugh and remember at Alpine Funeral Home 2300 N. Sylvania on Thursday August 9th 2018
We Love You and are Happy for you Frances!!
But were going to miss You
