MY DADDY’S OBITUARY Frank P. Panico, Sr. aka ‘My Daddy’ died peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, @ 5:40 am in our home. My daddy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s brought on by injury. He was just shy of his 84th Birthday. Frank, Sr was born July 2, 1937, in the Bronx, New York City, and his mother was Rose Basile. He was the oldest son by a few short minutes before his identical twin brother, Joseph Panico, Sr. His sister, Nancy LeNoble, is 14 months younger than him and her twin brothers were very protective of her. My dad’s youngest brother by 7 years is Peter Panico, Sr. My daddy grew up in East Harlem, New York City. While attending school, my dad worked many odd jobs. Among these jobs were working on Wall Street in the hustle and bustle, being a Salesman at Tiffany’s jewlery store in NYC, and also as a Gift Wrapper in Macy’s Department store. My dad retired from his long career at Equitable Life Insurance. My dad was also extremely athletic and involved with weight lifting, boxing, running and gymnastics. After graduating from High School, Frank, Sr was drafted into the Army and became a Medic. He served our country with Pride. He then was set up on a blind date where he met Margaret Ann Pfister. Shortly after meeting, they were married on December 28th, 1963 and were married for 57 years! Frank Panico,Sr was a Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Uncle, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Pop-Pop, an ATM, Workout Partner, and the Slowest Walker in History. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Panico, his sister Nancy LeNoble, youngest brother Peter Panico, Sr and all 4 of his children; Frank Panico, Jr age 56; Michele Siler age 55; Joseph Panico, Sr age 48; and Jenny O’Connor age 45. His children’s spouses are Philip Siler married to Michele; Jaye Panico married to Joseph Panico, Sr; and Thomas ‘TJ’ O’Connor, or renamed ‘The Strong Guy’ by my dad married to youngest daughter, Jenny. He is survived by his 9 grandchildren; In order from Oldest to Youngest they are Divina Siler, Johanna Cannon, Micah Siler, Jaleesa Panico, Ali Mix, Joey Panico, Derick Panico, Mya Summers and Colby Mix. He is Great Grandpa of 4; In order from Oldest to youngest they are Emma Summers, Junie Cannon, Wyatt Summers and Lenor Cannon. We had a Celebration of Life Ceremony, Sunday May 30th of 2021 in my home. It was a true honor to have taken care of my daddy for his last few months alive, and then send him off to Heaven to cause a little ruckus. I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!!
