March 31, 1945 - December 3, 2017 Bedford, Texas. Gerald “Jerry” Dale Eckler, Sr, 72, born in Amarillo, Texas passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017. No Service. Jerry retired from a career of 35 years in telecommunications and his hobbies were computer programming, private pilot, and animal lover. Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jerry will be deeply missed by his family and is now in the hands of his savior. Survivors: Wife, Edith Eckler. Children, J. Lee Eckler and wife Christie, and Gregory Joe Eckler and wife, Audrey, and his three grandchildren, Chelsea, Kayla, and Fayth. Predeceased: Parents, Rose and Claude Eckler.
