Ira Gayle “Ike” Donnell, 75, of Azle, TX, went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2024. He was born on September 6, 1948, in Brady, Texas.
Ike, a proud Army Veteran, served from 1967 to 1973, embodying the true spirit of a patriot. He was an expert in military tactics and had a deep respect for his country.
A lover of the great outdoors, Ike was an avid fisherman, skilled survivalist, and hunter. He found peace in nature, where he enjoyed building fires, cooking outdoors, and spending time with his family, friends, and beloved Dog. His passion for guns, weapons, and pyrotechnics was unmatched, reflecting his adventurous spirit.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Brenda; daughters, Leandra, Jessica, and April; son, JD; brothers, Johnny, Jake, and Robert; grandchildren: Brittany, Garrett, Ryan, Cash, Brody, Rylee, Cadence, Fox, and Wolf; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Ike was preceded in death by his mother, Margorie White; father, Alvin Donnell; brothers, Alvin, Walter, Sidney, and Jimmy; as well as his loyal Dog.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by both Alpine Funeral Home and Bluebonnet Funeral Home. Services will be held at Bluebonnet Funeral Home.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in the Garden of Meditation section of Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034. Per Ike's request, please honor him by wearing Red, White or Blue to his service instead of black.
