James Dean Tillery, age 47, passed away Friday morning, February 8th, 2019 after his courageous battle with cancer. James was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 4th, 1971 to Sandra Garrett and Jimmy Tillery. He was a proud and loving father of four children, Jessica, Dillon, Tabitha and Nathan. James was commissioned Deputy for Tarrant County Sheriff Office where he was given the ability to do what he loved; serving, protecting, and helping his community. When he wasn’t serving his community, He was proudly serving and protecting his nation as a heavy vehicle driver during his enlistment in the United States Army Reserves including a deployment to Kuwait.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Monty and Lynn Garrett and Ben Tillery. Survived by his grandmother Frances Tillery. His mother Sandra Garrett and father Jimmy Tillery. Children Jessica, Dillon, Tabitha and Nathan. Siblings, Tonya Spurgeon and Joey Peak. And many other family and friends.
James had a love for music and cars. He profoundly loved his children, family and friends. James enjoyed life and made the most out of each day.
A celebration of life will be held for James D Tillery on Saturday February 16th, 2019 at 1 pm at The Hills Church, 8300 West Freeway Fort Worth, 76108.
