James Lindel Stotts was born on April 24, 1935 in Monette, Arkansas to the late Lottie Mildred (Turnage) Stotts and James Gordon Stotts. He passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024 at home in Burleson, Texas.
James served his country in the United States Air Force. He had a career as an air traffic controller and was a licensed private pilot. His most recent occupation was as a weather observer at Meacham Airport in Fort Worth and in Monroe, Louisiana at Monroe Regional Airport. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Pinson.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Stotts of Burleson, Texas; children, Corrin Slater, Ken Stotts, and Darren Stotts; grandchildren, Kirk Mitchell, Aaron Mitchell, Meghan Mitchell, Travis Brashears and Nicole Stotts; and brother, Dan G. Stotts of Lake Havasu, Arizona.
James will be laid to rest at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 6, 2025.
