Jason Michael King

Jason Michael King, beloved father, son, and brother, passed away January 14,2024, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on December 19, 1972, in Sherman, Texas. Jason was a talented musician who brought joy and inspiration to all who heard him through his passion for music.

Jason's love for music began at a young age and continued throughout his life. He had a natural talent for playing various instruments including the guitar, piano, and many others. His musical abilities were further honed during his education at Texas Wesleyan University, where he graduated in 2002. During his time there, Jason's exceptional talent earned him both a scholarship in music and in baseball.

Jason was a music teacher, athlete, and friend to many. His impact on those around him was
undeniable. He had the unique ability to connect with just about anyone. Jason also was Music
Minister of Messiah Baptist Church for 12 years before he moved on to lead music at the Faith Temple in Haltom City, where he remained until his death.

Outside of his career as a musician, Jason had an array of hobbies that brought him joy. He loved to fish, play baseball, and basketball. He also loved to ride motorcycles and had a love for old cars. He loved spending time with his girls when he had the opportunity.

Jason is survived by his loving daughters, Lila Faith King and Ella Joy King, who were the lights of his life. He leaves behind their mother Dollie Kemper to cherish his memory. Also mourning his loss is his sister, Jodie Leblanc and her husband Brandon Jauernig; nephew, Joshua Leblanc; niece, Shannon Zett; cousin, Jennifer Jo Cutler; father, Paul J. King; and a host of friends.

Jason is preceded in death by his loving mother, Tresa King; as well as his grandparents.

Jason will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through his family and friends, and the music he shared with all of us..

The family of Jason Michael King will be holding a celebration of life on Thursday, January 25th at 1:00 PM at the Messiash Baptist Church located at 7101 Baker Boulevard in Richland Hills, Texas 76118.
