John Nathan Singewald

On Friday, July 19th, 2019, John Nathan Singewald, loving husband and father of 8 children, passed away at the age of 67 in Fort Worth, Texas. John was born on December 12th, 1951 in San Jose, CA to George and Susan (Morgin) Singewald. He attended Cabrillo College in 1974, and had many jobs from guitar teacher, music store owner, to finding his passion of computers later in life expressed through the ISP he ran for many years in Middletown, California. On December 18th, 1998 he married Susan Singewald. John eventually moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 2008.

John was a brilliant man; his humor and warmth filled any room with joy. He could talk your ear off about any number of subjects but especially the things he felt passionate about. His passions include but are not limited to music, playing guitar, sailing, building and administrating linux servers, stock market trading, and he was fascinated with large format printers. John often said, “I am the greatest guitar player you know,” and he was not wrong. Another subject he enjoyed talking about was his children, he was very proud of all their accomplishments. He also loved his dogs, his favorite among which was his small chihuahua, Jax. John was truly larger than life.

John is preceded in death by his father George, his mother Susan, his brother George, and his grandson Giovanni Jr. John is survived by his wife Susan Singewald, his brother Stephen Singewald, and his sister Mary Singewald. His 8 children, Giovanni 49, Aaron 47, Airlin 39, Jessica 36, Gabriel 29, Nathaniel 19, Charlotte 17, and Nash 14. As well as 9 grandchildren Kylie 23, Brianna 21, Savannah 19, James 17, Aaron Jr. 14, Joshua 10, Gage 10, Aryana 1, and 1 great grandson Aiden 2. As well as a niece and several nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 at the Valencia Hall in 2555 Valencia Rd, Aptos, CA 95003, at 11 o’clock a.m.
