Judith Laverne Sliger
1941-2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Judith “Judy” Laverne Sliger announces her passing on April 2, 2018.
Funeral: 9:15 am Tuesday April 10th at Dallas- Ft Worth National Cemetery Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm Monday April 9th at Alpine Funeral Home of Fort Worth
Judy was born in Godley, Texas on June 2, 1941 and spent her life growing up and living in Fort Worth, Texas. She was an employee at Saginaw Elementary School in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. She retired in October 2010 after 34 years of service. Judy touched many lives of the children as well as many teachers during her employment at Saginaw Elementary. Judy was a very hardworking lady who always did so with care and a smile. She made many friends during her lifetime because of her loving, caring way and was an inspiration to all.
She was always so proud of her 2 grandchildren and their accomplishments as well as those of any of her family and friends and loved to brag on them all. She will be deeply missed but celebrated for the memories she leaves behind.
Judy was preceded in death by her Husband W.O. “Corky” Sliger; her parents Pat and Dorothy Stewart.
Survivors: Her daughter JoAnn Hankins; Brother Bo Stewart and wife, Sallie; Sister Jeri Moore and husband, Joe; Sister Janelle Souder and husband, Sonny; Grandchildren Joshua Hankins, Christine Janke and husband, Adam; and countless nephews, nieces, and friends.
