Kimberley Kay Courtney

Kimberley Kay (Prater) Courtney was born on November 2, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Helen Maureen (Phillips) Prater and T.G. Prater. She passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024 in Bedford, Texas at the age of 66. 

Kimberley attended Southwest High School in Fort Worth. She worked for over 20 years at Auto Nation where she formed many special friendships. She was a true animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Prater; and sister, Gwen Ballard. 

Kimberley is survived by her adoring children, son, Chris Courtney of Bedford; daughter, Tia Larson and husband, Billie Speaks, III of Fort Worth; and son, Dakota Elliott of Camp Caroll, South Korea; her loving companion, Ricky Elliott of Graford, Texas; grandchildren, Billie Speaks, IV, Courtney Speaks, Ace RyLee Speaks; and nephew, Terry Ballard and wife, Tammy and their children, Matthew and Jessica. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home located at 517 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. Funeral service will also be held at Williams and Lucas Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 22, 2024.
