Laird Grant McMurray Jr. (Larry)

Laird Grant McMurray Jr. (Larry), 80 years old, passed away peacefully holding his sons hand surrounded by family on September 5, 2019. Larry was born May 7, 1939 to Larid Grant McMurray Sr. and Violet May Kaywood in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a resident of the Fort Worth metroplex his entire life. He worked 40 years for Bell Helicopter Textron of Hurst, Texas where the last half he held a supervisory position. Larry was proceeded in death by his father and his mother and survived by daughter Kimberly O’Berg and husband Kelly, of Pendleton, OR; son Dennis “Kirk” McMurray and wife Sue, of Cascade Locks, OR; son Douglas Keen, of North Richland Hills, Texas; son Joshua McMurray and wife Katra, of Haslet, Tx; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Larry was an amazing man, full of life. A stern but loving father. From his crazy wild gambling days of youth to the last decade of retirement Larry was the caretaker of many. He always went above and beyond what was needed for those he loved. Larry loved fishing and working in the yard. He was quick witted and a savvy businessman. He touched many lives and is loved by numerous people. He will be greatly missed. Visitation to be held Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Alpine Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm 2300 N.
