Laura Kanuch

Laura Kanuch passed away on April 15 at the Discovery Village at Alliance Assisted Living Center in Ft Worth, TX.   A visitation was held at the Alpine Funeral Home on April 21.  A graveside service for the family was held on April 22 at the Oakwood Cemetery in Ft Worth.   Laura was born on July 24, 1937 in Columbus City, Iowa.  She lived, and attended school in Burlington, Iowa, and after graduation moved to Minneapolis, MN.  She graduated from the U of MN in 1965 with a degree in Social Work.  She married George Kanuch in July 1964.  They lived in several locations, and ultimately moved to Ft Worth, TX in 2003.   Laura and George are members of Gateway Church in South Lake, TX.  Her lifelong passion was studying the bible and winning souls by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  She did work for the 700 Club and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.   She was an extremely loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.  Laura is survived by George, her husband of 56 years, two daughters, Michelle in Keller, TX, and Melanie in Prosper, TX.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Emily, Sydney, Cassidy, and Christian.  Laura was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Daniel.
