Lawrence Earl Harris was born on May 28, 1974, in Houston, Texas, to Ethel Mae Harris and Lawrence (Jack) Ballard. He peacefully departed this life on September 24, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 50.
Lawrence attended Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas. He was known for his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. For the last fifteen years he owned and operated Mega Base, a successful business in Fort Worth, which he founded and built through hard work and dedication. Beyond his business success, Lawrence was a passionate collector of cars. He enjoyed fixing them up and sometimes flipping them to sale. Although he liked the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks, he also enjoyed watching some of his favorite shows such as: Operation Repo, Storage Wars and superheroes from DC and Marvel.
Lawrence was always eager to offer advice and share his experiences to uplift others. Whether through his business or in his personal life, Lawrence’s willingness to help with his opinion was a constant reflection of his character. But his greatest devotion was to his family. Lawrence cherished his role as a father and grandfather, always prioritizing the needs and happiness of his children and grandchildren.
His impact will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Mae Harris; his sister, Serial Harris; and his brother, Billy Ray Harris.
Lawrence is survived by his children: SirRon Harris, Latajisia Epps and companion, Anthony Charles Wyrick, Jr., Kreana Perry, Ken Hollingsworth, Tarus Gilmore, Shamantria Gilmore and Jeffrey Oaks; his beloved grandchildren: Phoenix Wyrick, Phe’laux ‘Arielius Wyrick, and Paislee Wyrick; his father, Billy Harris; his sister, Mary Harris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a host of dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Alpine Funeral Home located at 2300 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas.
