Lee (Queen) Daniels was born on January 12, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Louise Rayburn and John Junior Queen. She passed away on November 15, 2024 in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 83.
Lee worked at Pacific Bell for 16 years where she was a 411 operator and in the MLAC. After retirement she was so excited to have purchased and owned her very first home that she successfully paid in full. She then worked for another 8 years as assistant director at Dan Echols Senior Center.
Lee was joyful and in awe of God’s presence in her life. She loved God’s word and was a member of Baker Blvd Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing, dancing, playing games, laughing, going on road trips, vacationing, and spending time with her family. She was committed to feeding the homeless at Christmas. She was adventurous and always willing to try new things.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Junior Queen; mother Louise Brown, brother, Bill Shipley and brother, John Queen.
Lee is survived by her children: son, Glen Hoop of Mineral Wells, Texas; daughter, Ilene Pike and husband Dennis of Richland Hills, Texas; daughter, Melaine Martinez-Adayan and husband, Michael of Petaluma, California; and daughter, Cheryl Daniels of Richland Hills, Texas; brother, James Queen and wife, Carolyn of Graham, Texas; grandchildren, Hope, Glen, Larry, Patricia, Toni, Raymond, Brandy, Michael, Mason, and Autumn; great-grandchildren, Mason, Desiree, Christopher, Cera, Destiny, Faith and Gabriel; great-great grandchildren, Hudson, Miles, Willow, Anais, and Meimei; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 22, 2024 at Alpine Funeral Home in Fort Worth followed by funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Bishop Cemetery in Lipan, Texas.
