Lisa Michelle Olds-Barnes, passed away on August 22, 2024, in her residence of Fort Worth, Texas. Born on November 6, 1970, to Barbara Rae Cargile and Donald Lloyd Flaugher, Lisa was a cherished member of the Fort Worth community, where she continued to enrich the lives of those around her.
Lisa graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1989 and attended Tarrant County Junior College. Her passion for helping people led her to a fulfilling career in home sales, where she devoted over 20 years to new home sales. The last 14 years, up to her passing, was spent as Purchasing Manager for John Askew Custom Homes. The Askew family always made Lisa feel she was more than an employee to them, she was family.
In 2005, Lisa married Frank Barnes of Tucson Arizona, in a private but beautiful ceremony at a local community church in Fort Worth. Together, they raised their blended children as a strong, loving, supportive family.
Lisa’s hobbies included reading faith based and inspirational books, cooking, and enjoying time with her family. Lisa’s warm, welcoming kitchen was the heart of her home, where she baked the best pumpkin pies and hosted memorable holiday dinners.
Preceded in death by her father, Donald Lloyd Flaugher, Lisa’s legacy of love and compassion lives on through her family. She is survived by her husband Frank; her children, Thomas (Kendra), Megan, Zachary, Emily and Jacob; her grandchildren, Ryland, Hunter, Diana, Waylon, Maddox, and Jaxson, her mother Barbara, sister Donna and brother Chris.
Lisa will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her spirit of generosity and love will continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Life was truly too short for this beautiful lady.
