Lloyd Robert Underwood Jr.

Lloyd Robert Underwood Jr., 72, of Fort Worth, passed away on December 10th, 2020 after a battle with cancer. Lloyd was born on July 30th, 1948 to Lloyd Robert Underwood and Eva Louise Coe in Kalamazoo, MI.  Lloyd enlisted in the US Navy soon after graduating from High School. While in the Navy, Lloyd was stationed in the Philippines.  This is where he met his future wife Paz Lagando and they wed in 1970, going on to have three children, Robert, Debra, and Jonie Underwood.  Lloyd and Paz divorced in 1984 but always kept in touch with a positive, loving relationship. Lloyd, proudly and actively served 22 years in the US Navy.  During his military career, Lloyd served as a Cook, Fire Marshall, and Chief Hull Technician.  Lloyd was awarded many medals and awards including three Vietnam Service Medals.  He was honorably discharged in 1989. After his military career, Lloyd enjoyed traveling, fishing and relaxing with his friends. Lloyd settled near his family in Fort Worth, Tx.  He was accompanied by his best friend and companion, Shadow. Lloyd was predeceased by his father Lloyd Robert Underwood and his mother Eva Louise Coe. He is survived by his siblings David, Joseph, Patricia and Marilyn, his son Robert Underwood (Maria Underwood), daughter Debra Locke (Thomas Locke), daughter Jonie McCloud (William McCloud), grandchildren Gabrielle and Alyssa Underwood, Zackary and Noah Locke, Antwaun, Brittney, Daesha, and Tavian McCloud, and great grandchild Elijah Johnson. Lloyd will be missed by many. Viewing and visitation will be held 6:00P.M. - 8:00P.M. on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Alpine Funeral Home 2300 N Sylvania Ave Fort Worth, Tx 76111
