Lois K. Schmidt Beloved Mother: Lois, 76 passed away quietly in her home with her family beside her from a long battle of cancer in Fort Worth, Texas on 12/12/2017. Lois was born on 08/17/1941 and was one of 11 children, she grew up in Bismarck North Dakota and graduated from St. Mary’s High School, then attended Mary College of Bismarck and was employed at the Employment Security Bureau, she raised 4 children with help from a large, loving family, she then obtained her real estate license and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, she retired from ATX Technologies and in 2005 received commendation and awarded Employee of the year, she was an avid pool player and received many trophies for winnings, she was a member of the American Legion for a number of years and served as secretary, vice president and President of the Women’s Auxiliary. Grateful to have shared their lives with and blessed to have her as a Mother are daughter, Kerri VerHoeven (Texas), son, Daniel VerHoeven (Nevada), daughter, Kelly Heilman (Texas), 2 grandchildren, Chet VerHoeven (North Dakota), Randi VerHoeven (Texas), 3 great grandchildren Korbin, Kylynn and Asher VerHoeven (North Dakota) 4 sisters, Irene Doerr (North Dakota), Sharon Whitten (California), Gloria Vigil, (California), Rita Karlin (Montana) and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Proceeded in death are 2 children, Chet and Patrick VerHoeven, Mother and Father, John and Katherine Werner and many other brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Our Beloved Mother May you rest in peace until we meet again.
