Lynda Sue Simpson of North Richland Hills, was born on February 24, 1942 in Parsons, Kansas to the late Inas Mildred (Puckett) Hardman and James Leroy Hardman. She passed away on the morning of May 3, 2023 at the age of 81 years old.
Lynda retired from Birdville Independent School District after many devoted years to the special education program. She was a beloved teacher and friend to many students and their parents. She especially enjoyed spending time with her close neighbors Nicki and Darcy, Kathy and Terry. She was a talented cook and baker and she cherished her time loving her family and grandchildren with many memorable meals and tasty treats. She was also an avid reader with crime mysteries being among her favorites. She also enjoyed gardening and of course her most favorite of all pastimes was spending time with her family creating loving memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Simpson; beloved son, Jason Simpson; granddaughter, Kelly Phillips; her parents, brothers, Butch Hardman and Bryan Hardman; and son-in-law, Richard Aguirre.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Cynthia Aguirre of Weatherford, Texas and Stacy Chenault and husband, Michael of Hurst, Texas; beloved grandchildren, Amy Davis, Kristin McKnight, D.J McKnight and wife, Sasha, and Nick Chenault and wife, Jessica; precious great-grandchildren, Kelsi, Dakota, Allen, Raelyn, Kolton, Kairi, Trinity, and Jace; Lynda is also survived by her siblings, Judy Morris and husband Gary, Terry Hardman and wife, Kathy and Jodee Rye all of Parsons, Kansas.
Heaven gained another angel today.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Alpine Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon at Smithfield Cemetery in North Richland Hills, Texas.
