Patricia Ann Patterson

Patricia Ann Patterson of Burleson, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, January 10, 2021 to join her Heavenly Father. Patricia, or Patty as she was called, was born to Leroy and Eleanor Somers on December 9, 1929 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Patty married her one true love, W.T. Patterson, on January 28, 1950.  She and W.T. proudly adopted all three of their children: Bruce, Brian and Bryce.  Patty also raised her grandson, James, from a young age after the passing of his father, Bruce. Patty was a long time Chaplin with the American Legion.  She loved everyone, especially children.  She had a home daycare center for many years.  She never had a bad word to say and found the good in every situation.  She felt blessed every day and made sure everyone around her knew it.  She was an inspiration to all and a true saint. Patty is preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Eleanor Somers; brother Charles Somers; sister Francis DeVoid; sister Evelyn Babina; brother Richard Somers; husband W.T. Patterson and son Bruce Patterson.  She is survived by her sister Elsie Bitsco, lifelong resident of Connecticut; son Brian Patterson (spouse Sayla Patterson) of Burleson; son Bryce Patterson (spouse Tammy Patterson) of Springtown; grandson James Patterson (spouse Wendy Patterson) of Burleson in addition to many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date when family can all gather together safely. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the Harvest House in Burleson  at 349 NW Renfro Street.
