Patty Jo Cruz

Patricia Jo Gillentine Cruz passed away on December 22, 2024 at the age of 71 in Fort Worth. She was born at a naval base hospital in Pensacola, Florida and raised in Fort Worth, Texas where her family is from. She graduated from Boswell High School. 

She was a loving and proud Grammy, mother, wife, sister, and daughter. Heaven truly gained a sweet angel and she will be dearly missed. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Cruz; mother, Jo Ann Martin; sister, Peggy Gillentine; nephew, John Dean; and her loving grandparents: Benjamin Warren Shugart and Rachel Viola Parker. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Shelden; son, Carl Cruz; daughter, Jenny Cruz Phelps; sister, Pam Dean; niece, Lauren Dean; step sisters: Kristin Martin and Maureen Ocampo; step dad, Wallace S. Martin lll; grandchildren: Carsen Cruz, Cambryn Cruz, Cole Cruz, Cash Cruz, Calvin Cruz, Clark Cruz, Kaylie Phelps, Kyle Phelps, and Kooper Phelps. 

She will be laid to rest at Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle, Texas next to her late husband, Gilbert Cruz.
