Paul was born February 28, 1953 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Lloyd Raymond and Umeca Louise (Rodman) James. He was raised in Pittsburg, Oklahoma and graduated from Pittsburg High School. He then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma. His early career choice was in the hospitality industry, starting out during his high school years at Wheelers Café in Kiowa, Oklahoma. In time he owned the Stockyard Steak House in McAlester, Oklahoma. Paul eventually moved to Texas where he worked for General Motors and was a member of UAW Local 816. He started in the Dallas Service Parts Operation Warehouse, before moving to the Everman, Texas Warehouse, and finally retiring at the Roanoke, Texas Warehouse. Paul loved animals of all kinds and dancing. He also valued his family and friends and enjoyed cooking for and entertaining them all.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Raymond James and Umeca Louise (Rodman) James and Sister Sheila Louise James. He is survived by his spouse, Randy Lee Mills of Burleson, Texas; brother, Jack Humphrey and wife Linda of Lane, Oklahoma; brother Frank Humphrey of Eufaula, Oklahoma; 3 Nephews; 2 Nieces; 7 Great Nephews; 2 Great Nieces; as well as 2 Great-great Nephews, and 1 Great-great niece. He is also survived by his chosen sister, Blanca Guerra and many close family and friends. Interment will be in the Kiowa Cemetery at Kiowa, Oklahoma. Paul was much loved and will be dearly missed.
