Richard Lee Martin

Richard Lee Martin of Fort Worth, Texas was born on October 4, 1957, to LeRoy Martin and Loretta Ann King. Richard passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 67.

Richard grew up in Diamond Hill, Texas, surrounded by his family. From a young age, he developed a talent for building carports and patio covers with his brothers and father. A loving and kind-hearted man, Richard cherished time with his wife Leyna, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. When he loved he loved unconditionally. Richard had a great spirit and knew how to be the life of the party. He was a wonderful and loving man that will be truly missed.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leyna Martin; mother, Loretta Ann King; brother, Grady Martin; brother, Jerry Martin; and brother, Amos Martin.

He is survived by daughter, Courtney Martin and her husband, Bobby Victory and their children: John Gallagher, Woodson Victory, Victoria Gallagher and her husband, Hunter Withers and their daughter, Wrenley Modrel Withers; son, Richard Martin and his children, Waylon and Rachel Martin; stepson, Mario Martin and his children: Haley, Rizzo, and Natalie Martin; stepson, Amos Martin and his children: Amos Jr., Larissa, Mia, Maya, and Anastasia Martin; sister, Clarissa Howard; brother, Rodney King and his wife, Barbara; sister, Melissa Mackie and her husband, Jeff; brother, Lee Jay Martin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

To honor Richard, a visitation will be held from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Alpine Funeral Home located at 2300 N Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2025 at Mount Olivet Cemetery located at 2301 N Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
