Robert “Bob” Delano Hargis, 78, of Everman, went home to our Lord on September 28, 2019. He was born November 6, 1940 in Fort Worth to William and Beulah (Clark) Hargis.
Bob liked to rebuild old cars and trucks, giving them a colorful paint job. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bob worked in the printing industry for many years to support his family. He was a founding member of the National Association of Riding Clubs and Sheriffs Posses, established in 1970, where many of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren still ride today.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William “Frank” Hargis, Horrace “Pete” Hargis, Jack Hargis, George “Harold” Hargis, John “Melvin” Hargis, William Cayce “W.C” Hargis, and Dick “Dickie” Hargis; grandson, Ryan Pennock; grandson-in-law, Tim Connor.
Memorial: 3 PM on October 6, 2019 at Henderson Street Baptist Church in Cleburne, 919 E. Henderson Street, Cleburne, Texas 76031. Graveside: To be announced at a later date.
Survivors: Sister, Carol Bernita (Hargis) Gordon; children, Kim Pennock and companion, Burt Hanvy, Karl Hargis, Kasey Homan and husband, Joe, Kelli Bryant and husband, Skip; grandchildren, Curtis Pennock and wife, Jenny, Jack Nichols and wife Ashley, Lacey Byrd and husband, Josh, Katie Connor, Cody Gray; great-grandchildren, Madee, Dylann, Tiffany, Reid, Syenna, Sophia, Presleigh, Carter, Logan, and Langston; numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
