As a young man, he worked with his father in the Printing business. Later he joined the Army and then the Air Force. Stationed at Carswell in Fort Worth. He was self-employed. Making chili with his “Almost a Ranch” cook off team and preparing family and holiday meals. He loved playing games, shooting pool, playing golf, darts, and horseshoes.   Scrabble was his favorite and he always liked a good game of cards or dominos.
