Fort Worth, Texas

Rosemary B. Ikeda March 23, 1941 – March 10, 2025

Rosemary “Rosie” B. Ikeda, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, in Keller, TX, just shy of her 84th birthday.

Rosemary was born on March 23, 1941, in Texarkana, TX. When she was a teen, she and her family moved to Del City, OK. She graduated from Del City High School, as did all of her children. In 1959, she married Thomas T. Ikeda. Together, they raised five children and celebrated more than 60 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, flirting, and fun.

Rosemary's life was defined by her devotion to her family. From organizing Cub Scout meetings to cheering on her children and grandchildren during football, baseball, wrestling and softball games, she was deeply involved in their lives. She was known for her kindness and humor, and she never met a stranger. Her huge heart and sparkling eyes brought warmth to everyone she encountered.

In her community, she shined as a fuel station manager, notably during her years leading the Fina gas station near Midwest Trophy in Del City, where she earned a reputation for boosting profits and building customer loyalty. Anyone who walked into the station was guaranteed to be welcomed with a big smile and a friendly chat.

A dedicated member of Del City Christian Church, Rosemary also found joy in playing bingo, dominoes, and cards with loved ones. She particularly loved poker and Four Kings. Her playful (and competitive) side often surfaced during family poker nights, where she would give a cheeky grin as she laid down a full house.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Cecil Allen Boules and Eunice Wicker Boules, and her cherished husband and soulmate, Thomas T. Ikeda.

She is survived by her five children: Tommy Ikeda (Joretta), John Ikeda (Marcie), Patricia Poynter Jones (TJ), Roy Ikeda (Shelley), and Robyn Ikeda; her brother, Allen Boules (Sandra), her 11 grandchildren, and a plethora of nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, there will be no formal services. A private family gathering will take place at a later date to scatter her ashes in the ocean off of a beach Rosemary and Thomas both loved in Hawaii, and where they created countless, treasured memories with their children. Instead of donations, the family kindly asks that you honor her memory by sharing a good meal with those you love. Bonus if it’s a Chinese buffet.

Rosemary’s sense of humor, radiant smile, and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.
