Seth Daniel McDonald was born on August 6, 1994 in Odessa, Texas and he passed away on January 1, 2024 at the age of 29 years old.
Seth was a very special soul, sweet compassionate person, honest with strong moral principles and integrity. He had an incredible smile that went perfectly with his blue eyes and always had an inside joke with those who he surrounded himself with. His funny sense of humor started at a young age and it continued, as he got older. He could make you cry laugh but also had a serious side and would be there if you needed him. Seth had the ability to get to know a person in a deep way. He would take the time to listen and offer solid advice if required. His friends say that he is genuine and trustworthy.
The things that Seth was passionate about were his music, singing, singing karaoke, gaming, going to the latest Marvel movies and drinking a cold one or Monster with a cigarette talking with family or friends. Like his mom and dad, he loved his leather jacket, Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks along with his interest of listening to his favorite heavy metal music artist.
Part of Seth’s uniqueness was being a “Simple Man” which comes from his relationship to his mother Linda. It was his favorite song from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Just like the lyrics of the song he enjoyed the simplest things in life. He wasn’t interested in the big shiny things it was all about relationships. Seth is a simple kind of man. Seth also had a deep relationship with his Mimi. There is no telling what she allowed him to get away with when he was young. It will always be their secret. He was also a proud big brother to his sister Macey. They knew how to feed off of each other to keep a story or joke going. Sometimes they would start laughing just by looking at each other. He wanted to protect his mother and sister from the things that needed a man’s touch. Well-done Seth!!!!
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Goss.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Goss of Haltom City; father, Darren McDonald of Fort Worth; sister, Macey McDonald; paternal grandmother, Beverly Ford; paternal grandfather, Perry McDonald; maternal grandmother, Connie Goss; aunts and uncles, Melisa Kidwell, Adina Simpson and husband, Brett, Todd Currnes, Barbara Garcia and husband, Antonio and James Goss; best friend and “Broski”, Garrett Ringener; numerous cousins, extended family member and a host of friends.
