Shanna Louise Eschete Tanner

    Shanna Louise Eschete Tanner, age 63, passed away and went to be with the Lord on July 5^th, 2021 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Shanna was born on June 8^th, 1958, in Houma, Louisiana. Shanna graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 1976. She was married to Thomas Tanner at Holy Rosary on April 1^st, 1977, and they were married for 24 years. She had 3 children, and 7 grandchildren who she adored. Shanna worked for Wells Fargo Bank for 34 years, and was a die-hard Saints fan for all of her life. She was a loving mother, Grammy, sister, aunt and friend. She always worked hard to make sure her children had everything they needed. She loved spending time with her family who meant more than anything to her. One of her favorite songs to sing and dance to was “We Are Family”. She will be greatly missed, but she will always be in our hearts.   Shanna is survived by her mother, Sarah Eschete; her 3 children: Tommy Tanner and wife Ginny, Derek Tanner and wife Jessica; Sarah McEnroe and husband Benjamin; 7 grandchildren: Devin Tanner, Dirk Tanner, Drew Tanner, Nash Tanner, Logan McEnroe, Dylan McEnroe, and Madilynn Crawford; her 4 sisters: Arleane Bergeron, Ellen Allemand and husband Rodney, Jill Becnel and husband Ray; Virginia Authement and husband Tony; her 4 brothers: John Eschete and wife Phyllis, David Eschete and wife Janie, Lynn Eschete and wife Margaret, Ted Eschete and wife Susan; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.   She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Eschete; her brother, Brian Eschete; her nephews, Drew Eschete and John Eschete II; her great nephew, Luke Crabtree.   Texas visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday July 13^th at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Tx. Louisiana visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday July 15^th at Samart Funeral Home in Gray, LA, and Friday July 16^th from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with a mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma, LA.
